About Rebecca:

As a new mom, it’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to other moms and feeling the pressure to be perfect. Rebecca Shaw, a licensed social worker with a specialty in maternal wellness, wants you to focus on becoming the expert of your own child, not second-guessing yourself or comparing yourself to anyone else. She can help you transition to parenthood with minimal anxiety and gain the knowledge you need to feel like you are making the right decisions for yourself and your family. She wants to help decrease the societal pressures and expectations of pregnancy and motherhood, while encouraging you to use your instincts and do the best you can. She will be a valuable resource when you are feeling vulnerable, scared and alone, helping you to overcome your fears and develop healthy coping mechanisms. When you are feeling overwhelmed, or just over tired, Rebecca will remind you that it does get better, and you will find internal strength that you didn’t know you had.
